Hey there! I’m Kandice, an engineer passionate about building and optimizing real-world systems
I am currently studying Materials Science and Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, where I focus on how materials, data, and system design come together to improve performance and efficiency. My experience includes working on projects that combine hardware, data analysis, and practical implementation, such as developing IoT-based systems for energy optimization.
I’ve also gained research experience through internships at Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), where I explored titanium materials for biomedical applications, analyzing how material properties affect performance in real-world conditions. My work has involved both experimental testing and data-driven analysis, strengthening my ability to connect theory with application.
Some of my experience includes: 1. Designing and testing embedded systems and sensor-based circuits for real-time monitoring 2. Applying data analysis and optimization techniques to improve system performance 3. Conducting materials research and experimental analysis in laboratory environments
I’m especially interested in projects that involve hands-on engineering, system design, and continuous optimization, and I enjoy learning by building and testing new ideas.
Outside of work, you can find me playing the piano, golfing, or baking for friends and families. Feel free to check out my resume or email me if you’d like to connect!
